What do you think about 2012?

Just wondering about 2012 many scientist , and many religious people say that it is going to bring about change in the world... I had a conversation with my mom and she told me that she thinks that something is going to happen that will change our views on how we take care of earth and will make people more care full to conserve it..... let me know your point of view...
